This program is ideal for dogs with complex behaviour challenges like reactivity, being grumpy or a bit anti-social, fearful and more! But this program is also great for dogs a little more resistant to learning their manners..

This program is also ideal for owners who need a little more support, because I'll be with you every step of the way, and we can break the training down into smaller pieces.

This program includes lessons both at The Dog Star Academy in Buderim as well as 6 lessons at your home or other appropriate training location. There are also opportunities to upgrade to sessions inside this program.

What if I don't remember the training during our lesson?

You will find resources to help you with your training under the Chapter: Skills! You will find how to instructions including videos to remind you what to do.

How long do I have to use all the lessons?

For this program, we allow 4 months to complete the program, because, well, life happens. However you'll get the best results by doing the first 10 weeks in succession and then allowing 2 weeks to see how you go and then doing the last two sessions to help course correct any challenges that come up. 

I have a holiday booked in the middle and we're going away for 3 weeks, should I start after the holiday?

We allow 4 months together so the holiday isn't going to cause too many issues. However, we can discuss some more flexibility if this is needed. The longer our dogs practice their bad habits the better they get at them, so the sooner we can address them, the better!

What happens if my dog's behaviour isn't fixed by the end of the 12 weeks?

In the rare event that this should happen, there is an opportunity to book further as needed to help you guys succeed. Sometimes we and our dogs need a bit more time, and that's totally OK.

I want you to succeed, however I can't want it more than you do. I promise I hold nothing back, many of my clients have gone on to become dog trainers themselves, because my education is that good. Yes, I not only teach you what to do but why to do it, so you can learn to make the right choices for your dog even when I'm not there. 

What happens after the program?

If you've completed the program and you're wanting to keep in touch and do maintenance on the behaviour, we offer The Dog Star Academy Social Club, where we get together once a month on a Sunday for a walk and then finish at a dog friendly cafe where we iron out any niggles that come up. The Dog Star Academy Social Club also includes monthly challenges, quests, missions, adventures, tasks and more fun ways to enjoy your life with your dog more.

But, to join The Dog Star Academy Social Club, you must have completed one of our programs. There are limited spots available. 

How do I book my lessons?

There are links to Calendly where you can book the lessons that suit you. You can book your lessons 60 days in advance, but please note that there is a rescheduling and cancellation fee if your lessons need to be changed within 48 hours.

What dogs do you not work with?

We DO work with all family pets, all breeds and sizes and even if your dog has bitten before we can help them.

What we DON'T work with are outside dogs who are not allowed in the house or do not sleep inside. We feel that these dogs are generally more stressed and because our training is heavily based on having a relationship with our dogs and not just obedience (which is important too). We strongly feel our dogs should be our best friends and not robots who are just there to obey us.
